Tsa Tsa shows shows Tsonkhapa [Tibetan: rje tsong kha pa blo bzang grags pa, རྗེ་ཙོང་ཁ་པ་བློ་བཟང་གྲགས་པ་] in centre surrounded by ten Buddha images. Right and left of Tsonkhapa are two small Stupas / Tchörten.
Tsonkhapa [* 1357 † 1419] was the founder of the Gelukpa school and is the central figure in Tsa Tsa.
He is dressed as a monk and wears the yellow pandita hat this lineage has become associated with.
He is an emanation of Manjusri and he is often depicted with Shakyamuni Buddha in his heart.
The Gelukpa Order has the greatest number of adherents of any of the lineages.
In 1409, Tsongkhapa founded Ganden Monastery near Lhasa. He left behind eighteen volumes of collected teachings, containing hundreds of texts on all aspects of Buddhism and clarifying some of the most difficult points of sutra and tantra.
