Tibetan Purse [2]

A coral bead and a turquoise adorn the front of this purse. A second turquoise has unfortunately been lost.

Of the twenty silver buttons underneath, four are damaged and one button is completely missing. At the lower edge there are three eyelets to which two rings are attached. One ring is missing.

In the past, ribbons or tassels were attached here as further decoration

Like all pursss it was made of yak leather and decorated with silver-colored metal pieces. The beautiful patina of this purse seems to justify dating it to the late 19th and early 20th century.
