Grandfather Pemagyalpo Tamang
He was born in the year 1900 in Rhisankhu, Sindhupalchok, and northern part of Nepal, next to Tibet, died in the year 1996 at the age of 96. He had 7 daughters and 4 sons, out of which Late Lama Norbu [father of Karsang Lama] was the fifth child.
Like his family, he belonged to the Nyingma school and possessed a broad knowledge of Buddhist philosophy, its rituals and had a deep knowledge of Tantra.

He was born in the year 1940 in Rhisankhu, Sindhupalchok and died in the year 2009 at the age of 69. Karsang Lama is the elder son from him.
He learned all the teachings of Buddhist philosophy, Buddhist paintings and other techniques from his father Late Lama Lama Pemagyalpo Tamang [Lama Chakradhoj].
