Pema Gyalpo Tamang
He was born in the year 1900 in Rhisankhu, Sindhupalchok, and northern part of Nepal, next to Tibet, died in the year 1996 at the age of 96.

He had 7 daughters and 4 sons, out of which Late Lama Norbu [father of Karsang lama] was the fifth child.

He was one of the successors from his family of Nigma pa Lineage, as he was well acquainted with the knowledge of Buddhist philosophy, rituals and knowledge of Tantric so called shamanism under the direct supervision from his father in Choifel Kundeling Gumpa, monastery.

His grandson Karsang Lama learned from him the first basics of the art of thangka painting.
