Late Norbu Lama
Father of Karsang Lama

He was born in the year 1900 in Rhisankhu, Sindhupalchok, and northern part of Nepal, next to Tibet, died in the year 1996 at the age of 96.
Karsang Lama is the elder son from him. He learned all the teachings of Buddhist philosophy, Buddhist paintings and other techniques from his father Late Lama Lama Pemagyalpo Tamang [Lama Chakradhoj].
He learned all the teachings of Buddhist philosophy, Buddhist paintings and other techniques from his father Late Lama Pema Gyalpo Tamang [Lama Chakradhoj]. He followed the Ngima lineage as well as that of his father. He learned them in Choifel Kundeling Gumpa [Monastery] under the direct supervision of his father.
He had further advantages in making the Buddhist paintings and Buddhist philosophy more sharp as he married with the daughter of Late Lama Sange Dorje. As Late Sange Dorje Lama was the headmaster from Urgen Choiling Gumpa, Monastery.
Together with his father, he introduced his son Karsang Lama to the basics of thangka painting.
