The sacred art of Asia is a vast field. The focus of this website is on Tibetan iconography. Hardly anyone has a complete overview of it. In addition to the specialist literature on the subject, there are of course countless sources on the Internet.
With its texts on thangkas and other objects, this website tries to provide a certain summary, without claiming to be exhaustive.
Here we offer you two additional sources. Firstly, we offer some catalogues from past auctions of Tibetan antiques. They usually contain exceptionally good descriptions of genuine old Tibetan objects.
An additional page contains links to the current auctions of leading international auction houses. Here you can find out what is currently available on the market.
Please also check past auctions to see if results are offered on the pages. This is the only way to see whether the sometimes high estimates of the objects have actually been met or exceeded.
