Five palaces appear in the clouds for two times, for the male and female Tathagatas who should be imagined as united in the lunar disk. Vairocana with four faces is materialized from the full moon.
He is at the same time both himself and the four other dhyanibuddhas. Represented here as a Bodhisattva on one side of him sits his active Vajrasattva form, on the other the meditator.
