14.23 Meditation of the Sarvavid Vairocana Mandala

The Mediator envisions the Five Buddhas [1]

The medtiator is sitting on a large blue Lotus. Rays originate from the hands of the mediator containing left the five Tathagatas [white Vairocana, blue Akshobhya, yellow Ratnasambhava, red Amitabha and green Amogasiddhi] in different colors.

Depicted to the right we see their female counterparts with the same colors.Over the head of the mediator we see a lunar disc.

Light rays are sprouting from the Buddhas to this disc, which connects both groups od deities.The lotus which grows from the swamp is a symbol of purity.
