Vairochana holding his hands in the knowledge-fist gesture, "Gesture of knowledge fist" [vajramudra]. The left hand makes a fist, thumb enclosed, index finger extended upward, palm out; thand forms a fist, palm inward and encloses the extended index finger. This gesture [mudra] represents the union of divine wisdom with the deluded knowledge of mankind.

Vairocana sits crossed-legged on a jewel lotus, wearing a five Buddha crown. His white body symbolizes the purity of the original nature of all dharmas, and he is dressed in the robes and adornments of a Bodhisattva.
