The Dharmapala Thangka Centre only employs the most talented thangka painters from Nepal to teach at its painting school. The vast majority of the artists were trained by us. The training takes several years and requires constant supervision of the students, especially at the beginning.
Each scroll painting is always the result of the work of several painters. The artists are highly specialized [e.g. landscapes, symbols, figures, colour transitions].
The first sketch and the final work on the face of the central figure are reserved exclusively for the director of the Dharmapala Thangka Center, Karsang Lama. Karsang Lama also supervises the entire process of creating each painting.
This is the only way to guarantee the highest quality of the Dharmapala Thangka Centre's thangkas for many years.
