Buddhist Cult Bronzes

People from Newar community have been making Tibetan Buddhist cult bronzers for many generations which goes back to hundreds of years ago.

In ancient Tibet of the 14th century, they worked in the neighboring country like Tibet and China and produced cult bronzes in the best quality with unique designs.

This craftsmanship has been continuing in Nepal to this day. Newar statue artisans work mainly in the neighboring city of Patan in the Kathmandu Valley.

The size of the statues start at a few inches / centimeters and end up to huge specimens of several feets / meters and a weight about 1000 kgs and more.
