Tibetan Purse [1]

This is a authentic traditional Tibetan coin purse from the 19th to the early 20th century. This amazing piece was hand crafted from a black yak leather with hand stitching, and what appears to be a brass or bronze hardware with a red coral gem stone on the front. Coral is among the most ancient of gem materials, used for adornment since pre-historic times.

A leather tassel is suspended from the bottom.

Old pieces such as this are getting increasingly harder to acquire. This was sourced over 20 years ago in Dharamsala.

The purses offered today are almost exclusively copied. This purse is a guaranteed genuine old authentic piece.
